Remember how we used to be when we were kids?
With no worries at all. All you did was play around with friends. Nobody was scared to mingle. Guys mixed with girls, girls mixed with guys. Unless some really didn't like the opposite sex. LOL.
I don't really remember my early baby years. Like when I was 1 or 2 and stuff. But when I was 4, I went to my first kindergarten. Actually, since then I always sleep. HAHA! Teacher always scold me. Then one day, I don't know why, but my teacher hit me so hard, I bled. =.= So, being bitchy, I told my parents and I boycott. Don't wanna go school anymore. Pity my dad lah, dah bayar. It was only the 2nd day of school. :P Then I studied and learned at home, after that, I went to this nursery thing with all the kids there. So I made damn alot of friends and stuff. I remember we had this huuuge room with a tv, and we go there to watch tv, and there were small mattresses, for us to have our afternoon nap. They'd line them up and arrange it, so we go to our mattresses and sleep. LOL. There was this quite old teacher there as well, she always got back ache. Then all of us kids would line up and give her a back massage. Voluntarily! HAHA! When I was 5, I still didn't wanna go to school. I was still scared. I remember I used to sneak out during nap times to talk to my 5 year old friends that came back from school.
I went back to school at 6. I was supposed to go to Assunta kindy, but due to I don't know what, I switched to Methodist. I never even got the chance to start in Assunta. I was registered. HAHA! In Methodist, my first friend was Sheryl Lim. We were best of friends ever since. We had a rack thing outside class and we would hang our bags on it outside class. We had 3 rows of big tables. Red, Green and Yellow. Then there was a small basket in the middle of the table for us to put our books. I remember we always had to finish our work before we could play with the toys in class. Yeah, there was a shelf filled with toys. Everyone liked to rush for some pot. I have no idea why. Just for the sake of it. HAHA! So everyone would quickly finish, ask teacher's permission, then play. I remember I was close to this guy called Martin Leong. He was damn artistic. And a very smart guy. He was 7 at that time. Held back a year. He talked alot, same colour group as me. Haha. But after a few months, he left. Don't know where to and why. But we missed him alot. Cause he was damn fun to hang out with lah. During lunch, 2 kids would be in charge to go downstairs to the kitchen and ask the lady for our lunch, she'd give us a tray to carry back to class. There was ice-cream day as well ! Those root beer ones. Teacher would allow us to take extra if there were extra when some were absent. :D According to Sheryl Lim, Wednesdays were movie days. We'd enter the tv room to watch movies. I remember computer class was the best. We had to do some computer things, when we were done, we play with toys there. It was so fun cause the toys there were better and there was aircond. HAHA! We didn't play computer games that time. :P I remember we also had a mandarin class. My parents wanted me to learn, so Sheryl and I joined. We never understood what that lady was saying. We just played behind class. HAHA!
Then came primary school. I was supposed to go to Assunta as well. Got registered, but had to change. Cause I didn't have transport. Then Sheryl Lim and I had this babysitter that lived right opposite our primary school. Methodist. So every afternoon she would hold both our hands and walk us to school. HAHA! School was fun. Sheryl and I were in different classes. I remember my first friend in Std 1 was this guy called Ivan. He sat next to me in class. Everyone wanted their parents to stay, but I kept telling my mum to leave. I kept saying I could take care of myself. So she stayed for 1 day and never came back after that day. LOL. Not mean lah kayh. :P Everyone was shy at first, but after that everyone became best of friends. There was also Chinese class, Sheryl and I joined it again. But all we did was copied of friends' homework. I swear I never understood the class. LOL. Then both of us got so bored of it, one day we decided to skip it. Yeah, menaces. We would play around the canteen, trying to stay away from the field cause we didn't want our babysitter to spot us. HAHA! That was so fun. :P Skipped class at Std 1. :P I remember I was a prefect in Std 3. Best part was that I didn't even have to take the test or go through the probation period. Teacher just asked if I wanted to be a prefect and why, then I was chosen. LOL. Std 4 was the best. Cause our classes were behind the building, teachers couldn't see us from the staff room. So we would always come out to play or run around and stuff. I remember that year, we had this outing to go to Bukit Gasing. I was with some guys. I don't know why, but we drifted from everyone else. We didn't care, we just made jokes, walked everywhere, and we bumped into them again. Lol! Sheryl said that there was once when we stayed back, I actually taught her to score a goal in Netball. I was in the school team. Surprisingly. I was the only Chinese. =.= LOL. In Std 5, we had the ground floor classes. Our teachers used to join us during our PE classes. 2 periods, we'd be playing in the field. If the next teacher didn't come, we would continue playing until recess. Sometimes my BM teacher would join us in the game and we'd skip BM. :D Std 6, there was this carnival thing, the school rented a dunking booth. Like a real one, everyone couldn't stop going on it! And that time, Red house (my house colour) was always the first. I think 1 year we were 2nd. Green was always last. HAHA! Now, when I thought it was a good thing getting to be in red again, we're always behind. =.= I was also a librarian in Std 6. Well cause we could skip class and hang out in the library. :P Teacher would actually skip with us sometimes and we'd chat, and stuff in the library. :P
All my kindergarten moments and primary school days were with Sheryl Lim. We've been friends for 10 years already! My longest friend! Haha. I don't remember things we fought about, but I always gave in to Sheryl, cause we didn't like to fight. See, I'm so nice! HAHA! I stood up for her against someone, we pretended not to be friends for someone. HAHA! So dumb! Kids lah that time. So whatever. LOL. Now all the good teachers in my primary school has left. Which is a sad thing cause even if we go back to visit, we don't know any of the teachers. HAHA!
I miss being a kid. I wanna be a kid again. We didn't have to worry about anything, got to play with toys. Have so many friends. Not shy about anything. Boys and girls would mix around without being shy. We didn't have to worry about formulas and stuff. Education was so easy at that time. I wanna go back! =/
Ps,
To Sheryl Lim, my friend of 10 years, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! :D
I still remember until now. It's been 10 years of friendship, and counting. Although we don't talk much now. But yeah. :D
We need to get some pictures together, I hardly have any with you. HAHA!
