#10: Nothing better than watching the sunset at the beach with friends (:

As I said in the previous post, I will elaborate more about Port Dickson here. :D

Port Dickson roads are small with about 2 lanes only. It was a little town with lots of cars and food around. A lot of families have picnics by the beach and we also saw campers!

After lots of eating and shopping in Malacca, we decided to head to Port Dickson to enjoy the sunset at the beach. Off we started with our journey again! We were all so exhausted, we all fell asleep in the car on the way there! After around an hour drive, we all felt hungry AGAIN. We decided to look for a seafood restaurant to eat. My friend knew a place that has really good seafood, but it took us some time to look for the place. But we got there eventually! There were 6 of us, and only 5 of us eating rice. But we ordered 7 dishes! Originally, we ordered only 5 dishes, but after that 5 dishes, we weren't satisfied. My friend then said she had a craving for some venison (deer meat). So we thought why not? We ordered an extra of 2 dishes after that! :D

After a satisfying meal, we headed to a resort nearby called Thistle. We headed to the beach, but because the tide was so strong, there wasn't much we could do, as there wasn't even enough room to walk. But nevertheless, we still spent some time there to play around with the sand and also play with bubbles that we bought! :D We snapped lots of pictures too!

After a while at Thistle, we decided to head to one of the public beaches to really enjoy the beach and watch the sunset. So we hurried to one of the public beaches, and to our surprise, it was much cleaner and nicer that the one at the resort! The sand was so soft, and the place was cleaner! We spent about an hour plus there laughing, taking pictures, playing bubbles and talking. We couldn't go in to the water because we didn't bring extra change of clothes, but just standing at the beachside was good enough!

We also saw a little crab walking around and another smaller one floating on the water! My friend got so scared, she jumped! When my friend and I was talking and just standing in the water, I felt something bit me! But I couldn't see anything, so I let it go. We were drawing in the sands, jumping around and it felt like our childhood again! We left the beach around 7, and headed home. There was a heavy jam on the way home though, to top it off with heavy rain as well. In the car, we were singing along loudly to songs on the cd we bought. We fell asleep, but not for long. We were being too noisy in the car! :p My friend dropped us off at college campus and we headed home from there. All in all, a really GREAT day with friends that I will NEVER forget!  In my opinion, Port Dickson beaches have really improved. They are not as dirty anymore, and there are really good food too! I will definitely go there to explore more one day. :D

#9: Food heaven!

One day, a few friends and I decided to head to Malacca for a day trip just for fun and for the food. We reached Malacca around 9 and the streets were still quite empty. We headed to a chicken rice ball place right beside Jonker Street. Well, to be honest, I have never heard of chicken rice ball. Basically, it's just chicken rice, but instead of rice served normally, the rice comes in the form of a ball. It was awesome! It was a just a small shop, but it was FULL of people going for breakfast. Fortunately, we were right on time. When we sat down, there were people waiting and lining up for seats!

After breakfast, we started on our walk in Jonker Street. There were lots of restaurants, boutiques, and bakeries. They are famous for their pineapple tarts and other buns. We bought so many boxes of pineapple tarts! It was THE BEST I have eaten. It's so soft and the dough was just perfectly baked. The shop we went to, was an old couple baking and selling all kinds of tarts and biscuits. We got our tarts fresh out from the oven! There was another shop that sold 5 boxes for the price of RM60. We bought that too! No harm trying everything right? :p

After a long walk around there, we decided to get some refreshment as it was such a hot day. We decided to get 'durian cendol' at one of the shops there. Durians are so heaty, but it was so mouth watering, we couldn't resist not giving it a try. There was even durian puffs, but we forgot to get them before we left. There was a shop that sold ice-creams in the shape of an egg all with different flavours of fruits. It looked good, but there were too many people around, so we didn't manage to get that either. But although we didn't get to buy so many things, we were so full because we kept stopping at shops to grab things to eat!

The streets of Jonker Street are narrow, just enough for 2 cars to squeeze through. There are lots of 'beca's going around, with loud music playing and giving people a tour around that place. In that area itself, there are two huge churches, and they are just beautiful. I didn't get to go in, but from the outside, the church looked so nice!

Right in front of the church, there were two men who was dressed up in suits and a top hat all covered in purple and gold glitter. They were standing static just like statues. If you wanted to take a picture with them, you had to donate a minimum of RM2. But it was really cool the fact that they stood still there for so long with everyone just looking at them. Next to them, there were a few people with snakes and a huge lizard and allowed you to take instant photos with the them. The snakes were calm and my friend actually went to touch it. But we were to afraid to snap photos with them, so we just left.

Despite the really hot weather, we had an awfully great time there! Also, after walking around Malacca, we decided we wanted to go watch the sunset at the beach. So we decided to head to Port Dickson after that. I will elaborate more on Port Dickson in the second post. (:

#8: My love. ♥ (:

He is the one and only that can make me smile even on my worst days. Every time I come home, he will be the one that wakes up and runs to welcome me home. He was the one that always listened to my problems when I didn't want to talk to anyone else. He was the one that always makes me happy without even trying. He is the one that sleeps with me every night without fail. He is the one that wakes me up in the morning. This special one is, my dog, Taco. (:

Taco is a miniature short fur chihuahua with a special tone of colour that I have never seen on any other chihuahuas. :D Also unlike other chihuahuas, Taco doesn't bark much. (: He was the size of my palm when I first got him, and he could even fit into my brother's pants pocket! He has a skin condition when we first got him, but after a few months with us, it recovered. :D But now, he is fat, and lazy. But he's still cute as a cherub! :D

When we first got him, my dad didn't like him. This is because he is my first pet. He somehow knew that my dad didn't like him in the house. So he kept trying to get my dad's attention by taking his sock and hiding it, or by messing up the house. After a few months of messing around with my dad, my dad started loving him. Up to this day, my dad spoils him more than anyone else.

All I can say is, he's my life. When I had problems last time and I was crying, he would look at me and just sit next to me to let me snuggle with him. He somehow just understands what I'm going through and what I'm doing. Every time I come home, he would wake up from his long sleep and come running towards the door wagging his tail to greet me home. He is also so spoiled until he wants me to turn on the air conditioner for him when he sleeps. If he comes into the room earlier than me, and I don't turn on the air conditioner, he would call out to me and just look at the air conditioner, signaling me to turn it on.

Sometimes when I'm bored, I would start taking pictures with him, and he actually likes it! When I went for my trip to Hong Kong, I got him shirts to wear as well. Despite the fact that he is a dog, he has a lot of clothes to wear. And sometimes when the weather is cold, he actually likes wearing them because it keeps him warm. When he is feeling hot and has his shirt on, he would take it off and lie on the marble floor with his nose just stuck to the floor. This is because the marble floor is cold and he takes that advantage to make himself feel better. (:

Also, when he has done a mistake and my dad gets mad at him, he would stop whatever he's doing, drop everything and run under my bed. He knows that my dad would never get him under my bed. When he knows everything has calmed down, he would slowly make his way out and continue playing with his toy. He is the most adorable dog I have ever seen, and I love him like family. (:

Here are some pictures we took recently! :D

#7: What is happening to the world?

I'm not sure if you are aware of the video going around Facebook about the girl that got bullied, but it's just pure bs. Pardon my language, but since when did it turn to GIRLS bullying OTHER girls? Last time, the worst was just a glare. Now, the girl actually STRANGLES the girl with her own tie, and took a pair of scissors and cut her hair!

Here, watch this:
I got this off Facebook.
http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=1975927713664&oid=205123489519948&comments

Really, what is the school teaching them? Doesn't the school discipline board take action? It may be cause the victim is too afraid to make a report, but can't the other classmates take action and stand up for her? Why is it that this girl doesn't have friends to help her out? I just don't understand. Why is it that the victim's parents doesn't notice this? It would be obvious for a parent to actually see the signs of their child that is going through hard times. Could it be that they are too busy working? Maybe. But that doesn't mean they don't have to look out for their child. If the parents make an official report, this can be stopped. If the bully still doesn't stop after punishment, a police report can be lodged. Despite that, there are many parents of victims that do not know that their child is actually being bullied in school. This may be because the victim is afraid. Where is the justice in this? How can a teenager be living like this? She could be traumatized her whole life. The bully finds pleasure in doing this, but I believe that they will get what they deserve in the future. If they do not treat others right, they don't deserve anything better as well.

Nevertheless, there are victims who are so sick of getting picked on every day, one day they finally take action. There was this kid who was always picked on in school, and one day, he got so sick of it, he retaliated and stood up for himself. This boy got in trouble for doing so, but I felt that he did the right thing. He should NEVER let anyone treat him like trash, and no many what the consequences, he shall face it. Although he had to face the consequences, at least now he can walk around proudly knowing that he took action and stood up for himself. Besides, after what the bully got, I don't think he wants to be messing with this kid anymore.

I took this video off YouTube:
Take your time to watch it and you may actually know what is going on.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TqPs4YBf__E&feature=related

My question is, why are bully cases getting worse? Isn't anyone doing anything? Why is it that even kids don't have humanity and are doing this to other people? As much as I want to help these kids, there is no possible way to completely stop the bullies from doing anything worse in the future. Isn't this the reason school counselors are around? Where are they? They are supposed to be talking to the bullies and trying to figure out what is the reason that they bottle up so much anger in them, that they have to let it out and take pleasure in watching others get hurt? Did these victims offended the bullies? I highly doubt it. These kids get picked on even on their first years in school! The bullies don't even know them PERSONALLY.

Is it because kids these days are exposed to violent movies? Is it because they think it's cool to have people FEAR them? In my opinion, these bullies will grow up to be alone and they will one day get a taste of their own medicine. What goes around, comes around, right? I sure do hope so. In my opinion, to anyone who is being bullied, PLEASE stand up for yourself. Let someone know and do not keep it to yourself. There are people who can help. (:

#6: It's unfair.

Not only do the animals have the right to live, they also have the right to have a nice home and to be taken care of. Yes, they don't have minds like humans and can't think for themselves, but that doesn't mean they are not God's creation. Who gave us the right to leave them by the streets, to beat them up, to leave them starving or even let them die? Who ever said that we ruled the earth and we could treat animals like garbage? Nobody did. I wish more people would be brave enough to stand up to animal abusers and report against them. It is because a lot of us are afraid to report these events that the abusers think that they can get away with it.

There are a lot of stray animals just walking around with no food or shelter. A lot of them die of starvation, or even and accident. Doesn't it hurt us when we see a living thing just straying by the streets with no food of shelter? Imagine if it was us. Doesn't it matter to us? Although we can't take the animal home, the least we can do is to leave them alone and not abuse them. Why put them through the extra pain? Does it bring us satisfaction? The people who abuse animals deserve to be put in jail and pay for their actions. They should be treated like how they abused the animals, just to get the taste of their own medicine. It ought to teach them a lesson on animal abuse.

Sometimes I really feel that even the animals have more humanity than the humans. When dogs fight, they fight to defend or stand up for themselves. But not humans, sometimes we fought for no particular reason or for the most pathetic reasons. Even dogs have the instinct to help each other, when one is in trouble. They protect and defend their 'friends' and keep them from harm. Some of you may not believe me, well I have proof to show you.

I took this off YouTube;
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f5OEKA47xFI&feature=related

A stray dog actually risks its life to get to the middle of a busy highway to pull the wounded dog away from the cars. Why couldn't a person get down from the car to do it? And just for your information, after the dogs pulls the wounded dog to safety, it walks away. Nobody knows where it came from.

This is also another link.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7AkANQls234&feature=related

Doesn't this tell us that we too have to act like them? Keep aside our differences and accept each other. Also, we should learn not to treats animals like garbage, because in my world, they are of the same level as us humans. My dog is my family. I do not treat him any differently than any other family members. I am proud to say I have a strong bond with my dog, and I love him. :)

To those who actually likes abusing animals, wake up. Think about your actions, think about what the animal is going through. They have the right to live a happy and peaceful life just as much as we do. We don't want people throwing us around like trash, and we should do it to them either. We are bigger than that and we actually can think for ourselves and judge if our actions are right or wrong. Do not blame an animal for attacking humans or what not, their instincts are to act and defend themselves if they feel they are in danger and about to be harmed. If they are loved , they too can be out best friends.

#5: Don't they have rights too? =/

Just like humans, animals have rights too. You don't instill them, they should just have them. Know why? It's because they can't tell you how much of suffering or pain they are going through, and if you just abuse them, isn't it a little unfair? Humans are obviously dominant over the smaller animals like dogs, cats, mice and so on. Maybe the bigger animals like the sea lion, polar bears and so on are a little more feared, but it doesn't stop SOME people in putting them through pain, no?

Does abusing animals really bring people pleasure? Some like abusing cats and dogs just for the fun of it or to have some laughs. How about we try kicking and throwing rocks at THEM instead? Just to see how much pain they would feel and we laugh about it. Animals don't attack unless we harm them, and this is why a lot of them get so defensive and dangerous. They think that everyone that approaches them are going to harm and attack them. I don't blame them actually, I mean why are some people so immature that they have to actually harm someone or something just to bring them pleasure? It's just saddening to have to do that just to make you feel good about yourself knowing you have control over something.

Well, it just makes me sick the fact that some people have the heart to watch a helpless animal go through so much pain. I feel the pain for the animals and I just wish I can do something when I come across videos of animal abuse. These days a lot of people are recording themselves abusing animals just to get the attention of viewers. They think that by doing things like this will actually get them noticed, but they don't know the amount of anger and hatred people will have towards them. It's because of people like these, there are more and more animal shelters and non-government organizations that are being set up to save the homeless animals to keep them safe.

Sometimes you see stray dogs just lying on the side of the road full of bruises, cuts or even a limping leg. Sometimes it makes me want to bring them home and take care of them, but it's just not possible. I just don't understand why people nowadays just don't have the humanity to have a sense of pity. Even if it's for animals. They think that they are of a higher ranking than the animals, but they don't understand that animals are living things too.

Oh well, I do believe that those who abuse animals will get their punishment sooner or later. I just can't stand the sight of someone abusing an animal, it makes me so frustrated and even worse when I can't do anything about it. I sure do hope some people just grow some sense and stop all these nonsense.

#4: Food heaven!

Part II.

Another thing I never mentioned about Hong Kong is that the people there are really nice and friendly. Also, in the morning, if you head towards the market, you would see all the senior citizens out buying vegetables. The elderly people there are also really healthy; in a sense that they walk a lot and get their exercise. It is just like the typical Hong Kong movies we watch. :)

Hong Kong during Christmas is just beautiful! They have wonderful decorations in all of the shopping malls and even along the street. The tourist sights in Hong Kong are great! They have this tourist spot called The Peak, it is high up in the mountains and it overlooks the whole city. Many people go at night to enjoy the wonderful scenery. The view is really incredible from up there! There is a restaurant called Cafe Deco up in the mountains with glass windows and a balcony overlooks the city as well. They also have a theme park that surrounds the mountains called Ocean Park, and it is so huge, you had to sit a cable car to get to the other end of the park. It costs more than a 100 Ringgit, but I would say that it DOES give you more than your money’s worth. They had hot air balloons as well, but you had to pay extra to go up on them. But the designs of the balloons were very unique. It definitely caught my attention. They also have one of the biggest roller-coaster rides there, called The Dragon. The track of The Dragon goes out just above the ocean waters and comes back in. Just looking at it was a little scary.

A double decked merry-go-round

This was in front of a mall entrance

This was inside a mall

 This is Ocean Park

This was only ONE side of the Park.

Last and definitely not least, the best thing to do in Hong Kong is to go SHOPPING! When they have sales there, the prices drop tremendously! The sales are so good; I could buy 3 pairs of new arrival shoes for about 500 Ringgit only! The prices are really reasonable and affordable. The citizens in fact, love shopping. The malls would be so crowded during the weekends; it's hard to even walk without hitting anyone. When they go shopping, they come out from the malls with bags in BOTH hands! Their designer shops are also really big and they always have a large crowd lining up to get in. They line up outside because they only allow a certain amount of people to go in at a time. Not only that, the people in Hong Kong loves to pamper their dogs too much. They even have pools and spas for their dogs to enjoy themselves. When the dogs are in the pool, they allow the owners to ride in a boat and play with them in the water, and also, because it was winter, the dogs wore winter jackets to keep warm. They even have promotion and sales for the clothes for your pets!
I had the time of my life when I went to Hong Kong. I would recommend anyone to visit and you will not regret it. :)
