Part II

Well, after about a week into college, I find it easier to get around the new environment and actually get to KNOW the familiar faces around me. I have classmates to joke and hang out with and I don't feel so lost anymore. During classes, we get to communicate with our lecturers more openly, and we are more outspoken as well.
Classes has officially started already, and we already have assignments piling up! But fortunately, the assignments are fun, and not boring like normal high school homework. In college, we learn about the real world, about the working world and what they ask of us. They prepare us for the working life we have to face after we graduate from college. If we do not take this seriously, money and time are just gone to waste.
College are full of excitements and activities for us to get involved in. I feel that this way, students are actually more excited in doing their assignments and actually enjoy doing it. Other than the fact that we still have the theory part of our course, though.
The expenses in college however, are a little scary. In high school, food used to be like 2 Ringgit or so, but in college, with all the restaurants around, it’s hard to find food that are that cheap. Not forgetting trying to look for a parking spot on campus. So many other students come extra early just to grab the basement parking lot. If the basement is full, they rush for the other outdoor ones. When those are full, we have to circle the whole campus block for about 45 minutes just to park our car. I rather car pool with my friends, which is easier and also more convenient. No doubt that the food can be expensive, but the food tastes so much better than canteen food in high school, I have to say.
This time in college, instead of us having to write down what our homeworks are, we actually get to check it online where lecturers send announcements to students. It is a way more convenient way for the lecturer to spread news to the students. We also get to print out or lecture notes and assignments from the online portal. This portal even allows us to sign up for clubs and societies, and we do not have to go and look for the person in charge to register. Each student has their own unique ID which they use to log into their portal and access all these things. They can even extend the renting of books from the library just by doing it online. This portal is of great convenience to everyone. Things like these are never found in high schools. High schools are way more simpler than that.
I feel that college has a whole lot in store for me, and I am just on my way to finding it out. I am planning to appreciate the time I have, and spend it as best as I can. I do not want to waste my time playing around, I actually want to achieve something I have came to do and have fun doing it! :D
